Help

I am 61 wiegh 225 lbs, I have spent my life raising kids and grandkids, and working full time and being married 22 years to a man that cheated all of it. I have helped my son raise his kids, because of his loss of both kidneys and illness, he is now married again, his wife gave him a kidney and he is doing better although I still have his two older children with me. I want to do something for me, I went to the dr, took a tredmill test, am totally out of shape, I have a 5 in bar in my neck from work related injury, I barely get by, live in a mobile home where my 6'4" grandson sleeps on the couch. thats all fine but I want to lose weight and live, and get in shape, please tell me how!! I have tried everything, I am currently on weight watchers and I am watching it go up haha, I am at wits end. I have had a hard life, but thats ok too, just want to lose weight and meet someone, a man won't look at a heavy woman especially one with average income. You have it all together, help me get it together too.

I've had a very hard life, too, so I can relate to how you are feeling. I have also joined Weight Watchers and have chosen the Flex Plan. I'm not sure what plan you are on, but I know they work if you just stick with it and follow the plan carefully. I think above all else, you have to believe that you deserve to be the number one priority in your life. It sounds like you are a very caring person who puts the needs of others above yourself. I did this for many years and have recently discovered that it is not selfish to make myself a priority, it is a necessity. I am able to do more for my family when I am happier and feel better about myself. So far, Weight Watchers is working for me...I hope it works for you, too. You can do this!!!

First of all good for you for wanting to do something for yourself. Getting healthy is something that's totally in your control and doesn't take a ton of money to do. I really recommend you check out LiveSTRONG.com. They have a lot of free health and weight loss info. I especially like their food calorie counter, which is like Weight Watchers but FREE and lets you track your food and calories right there on the site. I hope this helps you. Good luck!

do you have other health complications as a result of the obesity? like diabetes, high blood pressure/cholesterol, etc. if you do, you should do two things..#1 is go see a dietitian #2 is talk to your doctor about the possibility of weight loss surgery. as a dietitian i am not usually and advocate for surgey. at the same time, i am realistic about certain health concerns. you are over 200% of your ideal body weight...this puts you at risk for numerous diseases and decreases your life expectancy. you need professional help. wanting to make a change in your life is the first step..best wishes.

I tried 100% Hoodia and it has worked for me! (And with no side effects!)
Check with your doctor before starting any weight loss program.

The problem w/Hoodia is 90%+ are scams. The real Hoodia is expensive and only the one imported from S.Africa has been shown to work. Many people go for the low cost scam Hoodia and have no results!
Make sure you don’t get ripped off with these tips…

#1. Be sure you are buying pure Hoodia...look for the import certificate on the website. No matter the price, if they do not display this, you really do NOT know what you are getting!

#2. Be sure it is 100% Hoodia & not mixed w/other herbs, etc.!!

#3. Keep in mind it stops your hunger pangs…you MUST remember to break your habit to always eat at certain times.

#4. Drink a full 8oz. glass of water with it!

Hoodia (HOOD-ee-uh) gordonii - A genus of 10 to 20 species from southwestern Africa.
Hoodia gordonii is the stoneage wonder plant found throughout the dry arid regions of the South western African continent now on the verge of making history in the fight against obesity. It is a genus belonging to the Asclepiadaceae family which consists of approximately 20 species. Used to stop hunger, quench thirst, and provide energy among other things since prehistoric times, Hoodia gordonii was first discovered by the San tribesmen and women to get through the most difficult of times.
