hi,well here goes,been married 26 yrs,husband is 10 yrs older,im 42,ive never worked,no ged.if my husband should die would i be able to collect his social security,being only in my 40s,our kids are grown

im pretty sure as long as you've been married for atleast 10 years you are intitled to his ssi benifits but if you remarry you lose them. i know how you feel my story is the same.
