you must go to the nearest hospital ... this seems like an emergency to me... in the meantime, rub your two hands together, put them on her head (you from behind) your fingers in direction of her forehead, leave them there a while, repeat the same - rub hands together - put your right hand on her forehead, while you have the left in the back of her head, leave them there a while, do the same for her temples your hands direction of her shoulders... but please go to the hospital, it sure is an emergency for doctors.  I pray for her.   She'll be well.

Thanks DADA,next time she get's a migraine I'll try that. She has this bean bag thing that you stick in the microwave and put around your neck to relieve tension....except she get's it when she has a migraine and presses it so hard to her face she get's a black eye sometimes.

I have tried to get her to go to the hospital but she won't.I'm looking now for some type of natural treatment or at least something I can try to soothe her when she get's so sick.

I've had exactly one migraine in my whole life and it was the most terrible pain.My poor mom basicly lives with one :-(.I want to help her.

i do not want to scare both of you but this is not a case of migraine... with nausea and vomiting... It might a bloodclot to the brain that can cause her to paralyze entirely or partially and be in a wheelchair the rest of her life...  I myself had a stroke and my life was turned upside down from night to morning... please get to the hospital as fast as  you can.... they are miracle workers in cases like that....  I must say the truth ... there is grave danger...

I have had a long history of migraines followed by chills then I turn pale like a ghost -nausea and then the vomiting. I came to find out since I realized a pattern in these migraines that had been occuring since pubirty that it was my out of wack hormones and foods that I am allergic too. I started non cycling birth control. This almost totally wiped the migraines from existence. I had had them for nearly 7 years almost everyday. For the remaining migraines I kept a very close eye on my diet and picked up any patterns associated with them. It came to be that I am super sensitive to onions, nutrasweet(aspartame, equal any of that)and that is in almost anything low fat or fat free.So there are lots of different things other than wine(which is generally a sulfite intolerance in red wine). Good Luck-hope it helped.

The only thing that really helped me with migraine is practicing Yoga on a regular bases, I don't know if it was the fact that my neck didn't have so much tension in it anymore or that I learned to breath differently, but after about 6 months of yoga, my migraines just stopped.

There are a lot of different reason for migraines, there might be some dietary changes that might help. However, for a lot of people with chronic migraines the only and best medicine are not alternative, but blood pressure related pills that they need to take everyday. Your mom should not neglect this, and there is no reason for her to suffer so much. There are a lot of progress in migraine research and treatments and here are cures that work.

Also, and I don't want to worry you, it might be symptoms to other illnesses, she should definitely see a neurologist for start, and then probably a blood specialist and a nutritionist and check that there's nothing more serious then migraines.
