Help

If you truly believe that she is the one for you and you think you actually have a chance, then you must take a chance and pour your heart out to her. The thing is, if she does not feel the same then things will get awkward really quick. I blew my chances in a similar situation. I poured my heart out about 2 days too late, but I feel good about it now because wherever she is and whatever she does for the rest of her life she knows that I truly love her. I also feel OK now because I finally got that weight off of my heart and it enabled me to move on with my life. My best to you whatever you decide.

Oh! I just realized that I didn't answer your question. Forget the flowers, take her out to dinner. Then gradually start up the conversation about the possibility of the two of you getting together.

I believe in being direct.  The realtionship only ended a month ago, and she might still be healing from that.  Call her . . . . ask her to spend the day with you . . . . . go somewhere you can just walk and talk .. . . . . . . . and tell her how you feel.  Tell her that you understand that she just got out of another relationship and that you will go slowly or wait until she is ready.  Be honest.  We don't like BS.  Just be sincere but don't go overboard.  You might overwhelm her and chase her off.  Just tell her that you have always admired her and would love the opportunity to make her happy.

How have you protected her like a big brother?  I would not send flowers.  I would not interrupt her during working hours.  How 'bout calling her to say "hi" or sending her a nice email?  You don't want her to pee her pants, do you?

If you are already friends, just letting her know that you are there is a good start.  When one relationship ends, a person needs time to heal before starting a new, lasting one.
