I think it really depends on how you feel about people with children. I used to date someone with a child out of wedlock and he turned out to be one of the nicest man I've known. He was very upfront about his situation and he told me that even though he has long since separated from his ex wife, he continues to communicate with her for the sake of the child. He is a very dotting father and that is one of the things I most admired in him. We went out for several months but our respective work took its toll and we ended the relationship. We are still friends now, though.
