how do i find a child in foster care. I just found out my cousins were put in foster care in PA because the father abandoned them and the mom is an alcoholic. Id like to find them and find out where and how they are and possibly get custody. How do I go about this as I only have their names and the state they are in. Thanks in advance.
Contact childrens services any where in the state and they should be able to locate them. I am sure they would much rather have them with a family member then in the foster care system. I am a foster parent and it makes me happy to see a family member that wants to step forward. Good luck to you!!

I live in PA. Do a search on the internet to find out where their parents lived. It's likely that a relative of your's has an idea. People leave paper trails. Most people will have court records that you can access for free. I know someone in exactly your situation. The children will likely be put up for adoption if the parents are a lost cause so time may be of the essence.
