Help with car repairs for low income families

I am a very low income single mother and have a vehicle that has major transmission problems and I have no money for repairs and have bad credit due to loss of a job.  Does anyone know of any program for which I would qualify for?

Post your name and address. Any response by mail might include enough money to get it fixed. Florida state consumer protection is useless, phony. But the county departments have helpful dedicated people. Try to relax and use that phone. In front of the phone book are listed many county and city agencies. One way might be subsidized housing near a bus line. Catch up on sleep on the bus. Single dads are in the same trouble and it's possible to team up and get two incomes in one household. Changing the subject, no relation to you, single moms I see walking carrying groceries in the July sun to roachy trailers are the backbone and true strength of every nation. But no one can stay young and strong. Federal help might be possible. Refusals are exhausting so don't try to do everything at once. A snotty clerk's insult may not be final, even at the very same agency.

Check with the local "welfare" office to see if there is some type of program you can qualify for.
