I want to relate to my teenage son and daughter better. Can you recommend a website, TV show, book, or something that would help me understand them?

Here is a site that I send friends to often. you should find it very informative and helpful. They also offer a few books geared towards parenting a teen.

A great book that you could also give your teens is:
Chicken Soup for the teenage soul written by jack Canfield, Mark Hansen and Kimberly Kirberger.
It is a book that even the parents should read.
Good luck and best wishes.
The best way is to spend time with them doing the things they do. Just join them during one of their activities and that way you'll also spend time together and also learn what it is they like.
I wouldn't recommend reading about it because there are certain things that can't be understood till you actually do/see them.
The search for people who can answer your question continues for as long as needed - until you find the answer you were looking for.

Of course, the more helpful your answers are, the more likely you are to be invited to future questions...
if they are already trying to push you away when you are trying to get to know them better it's to late you have to start getting instrested in there lives before they turn into teens
