It definitely makes sense that the AUB (also known as DUB) is responsible for your fertility issues. In 85-90% of AUB cases, the woman is anovulatory. You are either in the remaining 10-15% or else you ovulate sporadically (otherwise you would not have been able to conceive).

- Elemental iron (60-180 mg daily) and folate supplements are essential components of any DUB treatment regimen.
- If the anovulatory patient with DUB desires fertility, clomiphene or gonadotropins are effective in restoring regular bleeding by inducing ovulation (see Table 3). One-time progesterone regimens may also be useful.
