Help... first Valentines day as newly weds

It depends, how u look at it. To express your love to your better half, this is one of the conduit, just to please her/him.

Some people make a big deaal out of it where as others don't bother. It is a personal choice.

I am also a newlywed and unfortunately my new hubby will be out of town on the actual day but we made it a point to do something especially together before he left or when he came back.  since he is self-employed, he is always working so i have asked him to set aside one evening to not work and for us to cook together.  I agree with Rachael Ray when she said that "anyone can make reservations".  We are going to cook a full meal together which will allow you to talk, be playful, and just relax.  once dinner is finished, i have planned to eat with candle light and a nice beverage complete with dessert.  after dinner, I plan to just cuddle on the couch and watch a movie or tv.  make sure that your always reminding your loved one how much you love them and how much you two being together means to you!!! hope you have a great v-day!

You should do something really special for your first valentine's day as a newlywed. Valentine's day is suppossed to be romantic and of course remember you haven't been married long. You don't want to start out on the wrong foot.
