I believe that drug rehab is in the category of medical treatment, therefore this

site may help you.  There is government assistance for medical treatment.  Also, you might have to send your child to another place, a place that offers financial assistance.  Some places do and others don't, and obviously your child getting the help he/she needs is the number one priority.  Here is an example of a rehab center that has helped a lot of people financially.  They have a foundation in which people donate money to help people like your child.  Good luck and I really hope this helps.

Hey, I am currently in rehab myself.  I am part of a wonderful program calledHome Of New Vision.  Unfortunatly it is for females only.  I is based in Ann Arbor Michigan.  They also have a house in Jackson Michigan.  Girls have come from as far as South Dakota, Canada, Flordia and many other places.  I have been here for 5 months and have never been clean since I started using 11 years ago, I am 24.  My baby sister ( who isn't such a baby anymore) told me she had met her sisiter for the first time.  She was only 6 when I started using so that ment more to me than anything in the world.

The program offers many classes/programs that help to restructure ones out look on life and helps them find out who they are and who they want to be.  Thge program is VERY structured and it takes some getting used to but it is SO worth it in the end.  Remember this if nothing else.....

Someone can only achieve sobriety if the are whilling to , other wise it will not work.  This I know from personal experience.  They have to do it for themselves and no one else or it will not last.  There is hope!  If you are interestedin this program it is $130 a week, $520 dollars a month.  They will work with anyone on the financial end.  CALL THEM! (517)788-5596

This is the Jackson House but if you are interested in the Ann Arbor Houses they can help you there as well. GOOD LUCK!

Depending on which state you are in, there are many state funded programs to help people get substance abuse treatment.  There are also many federal programs funded by the U.S> government to help people.  If you have health insurance, they will usually help cover part of it if you talk to them.  (MVP is a good provider as they helped me through rehab many times)  I've been in rehab 17 different times.  I'm now 25 and I've been clean for about 4 yrs. now.  I am lucky, I had a lot of bad stuff happen...all stemming from my drug ablue <age 14-21> and wasn't supposed to make it)

From all those times i was in rehab, I can tell you that many places offer a "sliding fee,"  basically, they charge you based on income.  I was always lucky in that my insurance would cover most of the expense, but I had many friends who chose the sliding fee option... Also, I worked as a drug counselor and while I am currently back in school and no longer working there, I stay in touch with my old boss and co-workers and I will look into this matter further for you.

In the meantime, take a look at Conifer Park... it's in upstate NY, outside of Albany.  I've been there 3 times...it's a great place and I know that it helps people from all  walks of life (including people who were right off the street and had nothing...it 's a really nice place...really nice, so they must have some sort of funding or agreement you can come to)

i'll look into it more for you and will let you know soon.

best of luck to all of you

Saving Lives One Day at a Time!

Hey!  I myself am an ex-drug addict.  I was addicted to oxycontin and crystal meth.  I know the pain I put my parents and myself through and I have now dedicated my life to helping people get off of drugs.  If you are still looking for something to help, I know of two different options that may be very helpful to you.  I know of a free addiction helpline that you can call and they can help you locate meetings, detox, outpatient, and residential treatment centers for you.  They also have trained counselors that will help you answer any questions you might have.  Their phone number is 866.826.9158.  The other thing is just to do some research regarding non-traditional programs (www.stopaddiction.com) that focus on the body and not just the mental aspects of addiction.  Please feel free to email me if you have any questions.  My email is EmilyNNAH@gmail.com
