I am trying to find assistance to get my son a handicapped equipped van so he can drive himself to school. January 2009, 3 days a week, 50 miles round trip. I am not loooking for a new van-just some assistance (money or helpful grants) so we can get the vehicle we have fully equipped or be able to afford a different vehicle that is already modified.
Mike was in an accident a little over 2 years ago and is now a paraplegic. He has use of his arms and can do most things for himself. He has gone back to school and hopes to be back in the job market in another 2 years.
Have you had any success with a grant program? If so please let me know which one.
