Your local charity should be able to help you. Also the State welfare office can get you food stamps etc. You should go right away to get this help. They will check your income & or anything else to make sure everything is on the up &up. God bless you & good luck. People will usually want to know why you have not got family to assist you while you are down. They are hiring almost any where flipping burgers & such, it is better than nothing . Try it out. I am very sure you will get something real fast if you try hard. I been there & done it. I had no income & two children, I know how it is to be without. Thanks to God & hard work I got out of it real slowly. You can ,just keep going ,don't depend on others that much. They are going through their own . Good luck.
