Heath Ledger Drug Video Party

Entertainment Tonight will not be airing the Heath Ledger drug video, showing him snorting coke and doing all sorts of stuff.

They claim they don't have the tape though earlier they showed excerpts.

Do you think they have the tape?

Why won't they show it?

Is the tape real?

I think that if they do have the tape, they will not show it out of respect for him and for his family. People tend to have more respect for the dead than the living when it comes to these sorts of things. After all, he would not be able to defend himself and there is no reason to ruin his good name. I think it is horrible for them even to imply that such a video exists.

I think it was really messed up for Entertainment Tonight to have even made mention of this alleged "disturbing" video. I think it was completely out of line and inappropriate. It doesn't make ET look any better that they've said they were pulling the story. The fact that they brought this up in the media shows the lack of respect for Ledger's family. Let Heath rest in peace and his family grieve privately.

I think they have the tape but they understood that either they would get many people angry showing the tape or there's some legal issue that they're afraid of. Either way I think it's for the best. I would expect there to be an outcry after the showing of the tape about the fact that the show was willing to compromise an individuals privacy for purposes of rating.
