Heart rate speeds up on slightest movements

I Am Scared To Exercise Because My Heart Beats To Fast And Starts Skipping Beats. Whenever I Do Exercise Or Spend A Day Cleaning My House My Heart Starts Beating Very Very Fast. When I'm Done And Sit And Relax I Get Palpitations. Why Is This?

I guess you could say I'm lazy because I'm scared of what my heart is going to do when I'm exercising. I smoke cigarettes and thats it. I pretty much sit on my a@@ all day on my computer and do light housework. I don't really go outside and I do not have a job right now. It seems like when I make just the slightest movement getting up and walking across my house my heart beat speeds up. PLEASE HELP!!! Oh yea and I have been to several emergency rooms and they run blood tests and EKGS and say that nothing is wrong. I do have generalized anxiety disorder though.

Part of the problem is your anxiety disorder, and part of it is the fact that you don't get any exercise at all. Your heart is a muscle, and it too needs exercise. So it gets weak and when you perform some physical activity, it has to work harder. I suggest that once a day you get up and walk around the block. Nothing terribly strenuous, just a little walk. The point is to do it every day. You will gradually get stronger, and then you can extend the walk. This is the most effective and least dangerous way to start to strengthen your heart and body. Get treatment for your anxiety disorder. It's interfering with your life.
