Health bars

What are your thoughts on protein/health bars in general? What are the PROS and CONS of eating these bars?

Work hard or go home.

While I don't particularly love the taste of all protein/health bars, I do find that when I'm working out, they help provide me with some extra energy as well as make sure I'm getting my daily dose of much needed vitamins and minerals. I don't suggest to people who are not active to eat them as they are extremely high in calories (which I believe is good for active people).

I guess the taste is a big issue with those bars, eating these bars as a supplement to a full meal is pretty bad. Always check the ingredients on them, for instance protein above the 2-3gms   per pound of body weight per day, is a waste of protein. Read this article for more:
