I am a single mom (widowed) with 2 children.  I work 60 hours weekly to survive.  According to standards I make $15 a month too much to qualify for insurance.  My question is why do people who do not work get the best quality health care in this country???  I am puzzled why working Americans pay through the nose for health care but free-loaders get everything??  I work for a small company who does not offer insurance and I cannot afford insurance.  What do I do?  I go without and pray my kids or myself don't get hurt!  When is Obama going to fix what hurts us and stop giving away freebies?

Having a special needs child, I argue with them constantly. Every year we pay more, and get less coverage. I guess those CEO's have to keep up their 4 million dollar salaries and 3 million dollar bonuses somehow!!! It comes out of us.

Yes. As a self employed person, I took out a policy with a company called Mega Life and Health. I was paying $460.00 a month for single coverage, by the way this was in the late 1990's. There were so many hidden exclusions and ways for them to wriggle out of paying for any legitiment claim it was criminal. If they are still in business, and I think they are, they should be closed up for fraud.

I have Medicare...need I say more.  Premiums keep increasing and coverage keeps going away.  I think alot of folks don't realize that we seniors pay upwards of $92-95 dollars per month for medicare and that doesn't include any RX or supplemental coverage.  Amazing

I think it is time for change in America.  I feel we've been cheated and betrayed by Health System for decades!

I have been working for Holiday inn for 21 years.  I have high blood pressure and diabetes.  The insurance there will not cover me because I have a pre exisitng condition.  I find that to be discriminating.  All healthcare insurnace should cover people regardless of their condition.  Otherwise they don't need to be in business.

I was under Cigna Cobra.  I broke my ankle when I was moving from Colorado to Kansas.  I called for a doctor.  To my dismay, my bills were declined by Cigna.  They told me I was supposed to use a Cobra doctor.  I took money out of my retirement, which got me in trouble with the IRS, to pay my bills.

Surgery was done on my other ankle a few years earlier.  The Orthopedic Center of the Rockies in Fort Collins, Colorado made me pay for extra exams.  I can't prove it, but I believe they delayed a second surgery because the insurance company wanted me to pay a larger percentage of the cost by waiting for a new fiscal year.
