I get really itchy at times and there is nothing on my skin. No bites or anything. I want to itch and itch and just dig out my skin! Anyway, it's happened again this year-twice. But this time, besides my chest, neck, and arms itching, my eyes are horrible! Soooo itchy and now painful. It's not the inside of the eyes, it's the skin. I've been to an allergist, an opthamologist, and am now seeing a dermatologist who is doing a patch test for allergies. She took the patches off today and so far doesn't show anything! I'm just scared I'm dying or something because besides that-I am extremely tired all day, and have no drive to get up and going because I feel so weak. Can anyone relate to any of this? Or know of any answers of what this could be?! I'd appreciate it! Thanks! KBH

That sounds terrible! Oh my god, I was going to suggest perhaps allergies, then you mentioned the allergist. Has the weather been dry in your area? Sometimes when the weather is dry, my skin itches? Could it be stress related? A reaction to detergant? Fabric softener? I am stumped. Wish I could help.

Hi, ------ Yes, there are high chances you are allergic to something (and it is most probably it is related to the spring bloomings). Have an alergy test to find out what you are allergic to. ------- Best regards,

I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.

I saw this article and thought you might be interested in reading it. It is called Chronic Itching: Causes and Cures. Perhaps it will help you.

But Kris says that it bothers her periodically (so it's NOT chronic).

I get almost the same thing. For me it is the change of seasons. I think it is more prevalent in fair skined people like myself. It is even worse when sping has sprung, I am itchy waterie eyed and in agony. You might want to try popin a benadril on the really bad days. But you had a couple other symptoms I have noticed and have read and experianced myself. The fatigue as well as the dry itchy skin can be a lack of hydration. If you are not getting enough water in your body it can make you itchy and very, very tired. Try not to stress yourself yourself out, it will only make matters worse. Since you are seeing a doctor I'm sure they would alert you if you were actually dieing. You also might want to start using aveeno lotion (right after the shower is the best time, it really soakes in), and I also take a fishoil supp. Both have helped with my dry and itchy skin, it also helps with my ecezma. One last thing, is it possible that you might have hard water? I think that is what my problem is. But also if you live in the city, you might have contaminates in the water to blame (chlorine, etc). But keep a journal of when your flair-ups are, after a while you might notice a pattern.

Dream big, and reach for the stars!

Hi Kris, Try laying off of the starch, like noodles, bread, rice. Too much starch makes you really itchy at times. Plus it makes you sluggish and tired. Try it for a week or two and see if you feel any better. Good luck! Stardust

KissWow!  Thank you all so much!  All your info and suggestions I will try.  In the meantime, I'm waiting for a blood result from the allergist-hopefully tomorrow, my PCP today ordered more blood work which I go for next week, and I see the dermatologist today 4-24 so she can do the final reading of my patch test.

I'll keep you all informed, and I appreciate all your help!!!

Kris
