Headaches due to head resting on a nerve at night

I have offer headaches when I position my head to the left at night. I am awaken by the headaches, I can best sleep with my head turned to the right. My doctor said it was a nerve that I am pressing on, however, it's hard to stay in one position all night.

If anyone has suggestion, please share it/them. Thanks, Lil
