Ive read the book. The only real caracters who die are Voldemort (duh) and ******* ***** (you said no soilers).
I think JK might have found it benefitial to kill Harry so that no other authors would be able to create spoofs off of her novels. I think one of the Weasleys will too because there are so many of them which gives JK a good opportunity to create a powerfully gripping death scene.
