Is Hallmark running a sweat shop?
I work part time for Hallmark servicing 3 stores. They will give us a list of days that are mandatory work days towards the end of a season, like Mother's day. the problem is that you can't work for more than 1 hour on these days. Can they demand that I work and then make me use my gas and time to go
to 3 stores and get paid for 1 hour each?
It doesn't sound legas to me.
In CA if you demanded a person come into work they got paid for 4 hours for their effort even if they only worked 1 hour.
