HWU8DD wireless booster

I am located at a remote army base where I get internet hit or miss so I ordered an HWU8DD rev b wireless booster my PC will recognize it but it doesn't seem to work with my internal wireless card my o/s is Vista 64 bit could it be the driver is not compatible with this o/s?
