HR/Legal Question..can anyone offer insight?

I inquired about an unknown garnishment with my HR department. The woman said she was busy but would provide it when she had a moment. She asked where she could get a holdof me. I gave her my cell. After a day or two of not hearing I called back and left a message. the next day she emailed the information TO MY BOSS via his email!He in turn forwarded to me. Isn't this an invasion of my privacy? I live in Minnesota. Can someone offer advice?

Yes, it was, but since you have not been harmed financially, don't expect to file a lawsuit claiming millions in compensation.  Have you discussed the situation with the lady to ascertain her reasons for doing what she did?

Oh I am not looking for a lawsuit for millions...and I did confront her with it and her response was "I wasn't aware of that and I have been swamped due to my boss being gone blah blah blah" I responded "I gave you strict instructions on where to send the information" and she said "I just it would be easier" (to send it to my boss??!!) But I am upset that this is private and has to do with my divorce and am a private person and keep a very stable and secure reputation and have furthered my career on this and now my boss sees me in another light. Is there anything I can do when someone singlehandedly ruins your reputation?
