HIV medication

I've been talking to a friend, and been informed that nowadays, and HIV carrier will not die as a result from the disease as long as he'll take his medications. How true is it?

I was late for work this morning, because I got stuck in Zeno's paradox

I think that there is not enough information to give a proper answer to this question. The combination of medicines that are given nowadays are very effective, but over time in most cases the combination stops being effective and needs to be changed. Of course, newer medicines and combinations are constantly being tried, but as of today there is still not enough long term information for people to say that it will be effective always. The combination also depends on complete compliance from the patients, which means that they have to take the medicine at very set times and not miss even once, otherwise the virus can develop resistance to the medicine. Many people find it difficult to stick to these schedules, so new resistant strains of the virus are constantly appearing.

It is quite true but depends on the economical

ability of a country to pay for the expensive medications and on the personal ability of the HIV carrier to change his or her life style.
