Hello, I suggest you'll read this

"How to" article. You'll learn some techniques and understand which software to use. From personal experience, this is not a simple task. The longer you wait and keep using your computer, the less files you'll be able to recover. More than that, most files, although may seem recoverable by the software, will probably be invalid, as some data was lost or written on. If these files are really important, and the pictures probably are, I advise you to use the services of a professional technician. He'll make the most out of it. Sorry.

When you do a system recovery, it cleans everything, files pictures etc. off of your computer. When you are finished doing a system recovery, there is not anything on your computer to recover. I have done a system recovery two times on my computer, and that's the reason you do it. It should look just like the day you bought it, when you are finished. You have to reinstall your antivirus, spyware programs, and all of the programs that you want to use. Make sure you run windows updates (express mode) and you will have to update your other programs that you put back on your computer. If you do a system restore, then you might have been able to save most of your programs. A system restore takes you back to a date, when your computer was running good. Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear. Good Luck in the future!!

to the best of my knowledge, SYSTEM RECOVERY does not delete anything on the H/d.If you know the name of just one of the pictures(did you saved the pix[picture] and did you give it a name?) GOTO::left bottom of screen; START>search.......do a search of the name or the type [*.jpg, *.bmp, *.img, etc,etc ] of picture it is. If you find ONE, the rest of the pixs are in the same area or folder.
