My daughter loves gymnastics and is really good at it. However, she never has time to play with friends after school or to be a normal kid. Do you think that I should let her stay with the sport?
You should ask the opinion of experts if your daughter has the potential for championship. If the response is that she is good but will never reach championship, which demands tremendous investments in time and energy, you should then encourage her to get involved in all the same activities as her classmates and spend less but not no time on her gymnastics..

If she loves what she's doing (gymnastics) and doesn't complain about not having time to be "normal," I think you should let her continue to excel in the sport. Young kids have a voice and don't usually have a filter so I think if she's unhappy doing what she's doing, she'll speak up.

If there is one person in this world who knows her very well, it was only you.. you are her mother, you know what is the best for her. Why don't you try talking to her, an intimate one. Let her know that you care enough for her.. I think she's thinking that she wanted you to be proud of her. That is why she is forgetting she is only a child, or maybe that is just what she wanted. The better way is talk to her.
