How do I obtain Guardianship or Power of Attorney of my 25 year old disabled son? My son lives with me in Waterbury, ct. I have been told that none of his medical needs can be addressed until I receive Guardianship,( he had several surgery's at this same hospital and suddenly they are requiring this) Also can Guardianship be 3 people- myself-( his Mom), his Dad and his 26 year old sister? By having all three of us ;any of us can speak on his behalf. He has many medical needs and is awaiting surgery which they will not schedule until we have guardianship.
