Green Tomatoes

Hi everyone, It was so cold over here in Washington and I still have tomato plants that have fruits on the vine. There are still the green tomatoes. I don't want to waste them. Do you have any ideas on how to cook them? I have heard about fried green tomatoes. Do you just put batter and fry them? Do you cut them in half to get the batter in?

Before a frost if you still have green tomatoes on the vines you can pull up the plant, shake-of the dirt, hang the plant upon a line,and the green tomatoes will slowly ripen-up and can be used also.

Hi Doug,

     Thank you for responding.  Tomatoes here in Washington die out in October because it's already cold here starting October.

    How are things in the Philippines?  I hope you and your family are doing well.
