Haven't read the book and am nmot a big green advocate. I believe in common sense. But I have replaced my TV, computer, monitor, air conditioner and such with more energy efficient models. On the other hand, I haven't replaced my lightbulbs with fluorescents because, being an artist I really don't like the light they produce, plus I spent a great deal of money to get somewhat environmentally friendly lightbulbs stated to last ten years. I'm running on 6 years and so far not a one has burnt out. To me, that's energy efficient too.
