I have a friend that studies at London School of Economics and I know that it's one of the best programs in the world.  Maybe you should check it out.

What goes around comes around

Hi,

Here is a ranking done in 2005. Many sites still give this ranking as a reference so I assume it's still relevant. You can also go into the Specific programs site and get more info.

Have fun.

London School of Economics is pretty well renowned, and certainly one of the top schools.

Harvard, Standford, Boston, MIT ,Columbia, Berkley, are really great.  Also, New York University is pretty good - that is Alan Greenspan's school.

Best of luck.

No top schools in the US offer master in economics.  They only offer master degree to unqualified/drop-out Ph.D students.  So, UK is the place you should go to.  LSE is pretty good - especially for jobs in i-banking in london.

The University of Chicago is the best school for economics. Milton Friedman, George Stigler, Gary Beckman, James Heckman, Roger Myerson, Robert Fogel - all of them are Nobel Laureate economists and all of them are from the University of Chicago.

The next best program is MIT, then Harvard, Princeton, and Stanford...

This book will be useful: Your MBA Game Plan: Proven Strategies for Getting into the Top Business Schools. It gives advice on specific schools - Not everything that
they tell you about a school is earth-shattering, but it's all good info. My personal favorite. It covers Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg, MIT, Chicago, Columbia, Berkeley, NYU.
