Let’s say I want to dig a tunnel through the earth’s core, and I want to dig it under the spot I am standing on right know. If I use Google maps, how can I look at the spot I will come out of on the other side of the world?
Great idea! I've searched for a while, and found a few sites that let you find the opposite side of the Earth:
http://map.talleye.com/bighole.php
http://www.ubasics.com/dighole/
http://koti.mbnet.fi/ojalesa/koe/opposite.html
http://www.zefrank.com/sandwich/tool.html
For me, the other side of the world is in the ocean near Australia. If I move, I could dig a hole to Perth :-)
Great answer 10X !
