Hijacked by GooglToolbar?!?!??!?! That's a new one.

the google toolbar comes with all sorts of programs. by hijacked, do you mean to say it wont go away?

google doesn't hijack anything, lol.

if youre using some versions of Firefox, the toolbar may be built-in as a permanent feature. in that case, just hide it. or switch to the Google browser, called Chrome. surprising enough, chrome doesn't seem to work with that toolbar.

Hello Mr. Barber,
I guess I was being a little sarcastic. Here's what happened. On a PC, upon opening Internet Explorer, a bubble popped out of the google tool bar offering new gadgets(?) with an OK on it. At this point nothing worked. I couldn’t open a new tab, highlight the address bar, open favorites, use tools to disable the tool bar or even close the window. I had to use task manager to close IE. The same thing repeated until I clicked the OK in the google bubble. This added buttons on the tool bar that I didn’t want, so I had to go in and remove them. This happened on a desk top running XP and a lap top running Vista. What would you call it?

I spoke with an MCSE and he recommended uninstalling the toolbar add on.  If not see about turning it off at least.
