Do You Google Yourself?

Most Americans search their own name on google. I guess it's the closest most of us wil ever get to seeing our name in the limelight.

Do you google (or AOL or Yahoo or whatever) yourself?

No day in which you learn something is a complete loss.

I must confess that I sometimes Google myself but it's my hobby to Google friends and see what they've been up to. To round things out, Facebook makes it fun to search for other long-lost friends.

Well you can G yourself out of self admiration but there is more to your question than perhaps you had anticipated - Reputation Management.

Reputation management is very close to G'ing yourself but you do it on a wider scale, setting up feeds on blogsearch, technorati, blogpulse, YAHOO! Search Blog, and bloglines, just to name the most important tools.

Yes, I Google my name to see my site's ranking. One of the sites I own comes up in the top 5 for my first and last name.

I check to see how my site, blog, other site, another site and etsy store are doing. I googled yesterday and it went pretty cool, the first site that came up that wasn't connected to me was in place 21!
