I'm going on a massive Road Trip (starting from Texas) & am thinking about hitting Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore, Las Vegas, the Arches National Park, Mesa Verde NP, Bryce Canyon/Zion, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Yosemite NP, Mt. Rainer, Seattle, Glacier NP...traveling in a large clockwise loop.  What thing do you recommend at these places? Especially would like to know about lesser known areas & hidden gems. Many thanks!

Thanks to Rock's suggestions, I'll be adding in the Grand Canyon & the Grand Tetons (which means adding another 4 days to this lengthy trip :>)

Wow! This is SOME Trip! I live in the Bay Area, California so I'm very familiar with Yosemite & SF & have been to a number of other places on your list including Las Vegas & Los Angeles.

When I saw your question, I did a search. Here's a link to one trip that covers the West Coast (Grand Canyon to Vegas to Los Angeles).

And this link covers Los Angeles to San Francisco (love Big Sur!!!).
I think you could build a good trip with these as your starting points.
Enjoy!

You missed Grand Canyon although I think Bryce Canyon is more beautiful and can be covered in less time. I would also put the Grand Tetons right after Yellowstone as your priority because of their spectacular beauty. Hotels in NPs fill up quickly so you should be making reservations soon and of course, snow comes early to Yellowstone so make sure you travel before early to mid September.
