Was there a conspiracy to omit the motto "In God We Trust" from the new dollar coins?  Enquiring minds want to know ....

I don't think it's a conspiracy, they are being pretty open about the fact that it's not going to be on the coin:

I should have been more clear in my question ... I didn't mean to refer to the lack of motto on the face (or, at least, not just to that).  Rather, I was referencing the lack of motto on the edge:

Godless dollar
