I know what God said, but what is He saying.

How does this relate to women, when in Scriptures it saids what women could not do like preach, does this not show how God changed the law?

" I refuse to have a Battle of Wits with an unarmed person".

"Whomsoever Much is Given, of him Much More shall be Required”

Debra,

There are 2 issues. The 1st is the Law of the Old Testement, which Christians who are saved are not under the Law. With that said, Paul in the New Testament states the women are not to be heads of a church. So, this is the issue. God has defined what the role of men & women are. In the old testament, Adam made it more difficult for men to hold onto their headship when Adam allowed Eve to bite the apple. The problem is, is that men where built to lead and women were cursed to desire to headship, which makes our lives out of balance.

If a women is a Pastor & head of a church, how does she go home and assume a lesser role when she's with her husband? Men where called to be Priest of their homes. How does a man be Priest in his home, when his wife is the head of a church and probably more knowledgable? Now you have a home out of order.

The problem is men/women (Priest/Pastors) have disobeyed God and have confused everyone who follows them. Our Pastors & Preachers have a huge responsibility and we as the flock, unfortunately try to lead our life's like those that are teaching us, instead of learning from Christ. We have to take the good & spit out the bad. Take the message from the messenger.

Joyce Meyer is a very good teacher, but I know that she is out of order and I know her spiritual weaknesses. I respect her because she has even acknowledged that she takes a lesser role when she get's home, which does help the flock to understanding the contradiction that she portrays.

With that said, most women and especially those who are going into the ministry have a problem with Paul and his strick views on women. Women have soo much power, but they use it for selfish reasons and disrespect themselves by the attire they wear. If they only new what the could do for the Body of Christ, if they weren't distracted by selfish desires. Nonetheless, the problems starts and ends with mens lack of accountability and thus people actually believe that God has changed HIS mind...

God hasn't changes his Laws. Men will always try to change God's word according to themselves.

Hope that helps... God Bless you...

you both know that scriptures state women are not to usurp the authority of man, God spoke it through His prophet, true christians believe Him, that settles it. Why do you insist on flirting with the devil and dancing his dance, you put your own salvation at risk, and damning the souls you lead astray.Take God at His word, and stop wearing that which pertains to the man. The Bible was written by men ~ not God!!!  Why would a man ever allow anyone to usurp their need for power?  And why are women supposed to take a weaker role in their own homes??  Because the men who wrote the Bible are scared to death of strong women ~ scared to death of everyone finding out how weak they are and that yes, many women are smarter, more able to lead, than they are.  I cannot believe how many people are quoting this book as if it is the actual word of God.  They quote this book as if it were the real truth.  God is the truth, not words written on paper in his name.  We women are the bringers of life.  That is power that men will never have.  And those men that wrote the Bible worked diligently to try to wrest that power from us.  We are all supposed to work together to survive in this world and make it a better place.  Defining people as "lesser than" or "weaker than" does nothing to promote oneness.  It simply makes men feel better about themselves.

Unfortunately, if I expose the holes in Skitch's interpretation of the Bible and adress the lack of sufficient historical evidence. It would just be argumentative because her point of view is totally subjective and opinion based.

Just for educational purposes, I will state that women wrote the Bible as well. Obviously, Skitch doesn't believe that Christ was God incarnate, so stateing that the Bible was also written by God would also be a mute point.

With that said, I think only an ego maniac and somebody with an inferiority complex would even argue the fact that a man is a stronger vessell. If you need to come up with a genetic freak (a women that has more testostermone then most men) then you actually prove my point...

I think we ALL know right from wrong. As I stated before, all women (especially Skitch) are the example of God's curse to men. Adam had a chance to lead, allowed Eve to make a decision for both of them and mankind is still dealing with the repercussions of that decision. Nonetheless, God has given us men that headship and most men don't want it. I liked being the good guy in my home, but my wife generally takes that job. So I have to make decisions that are what is best for my entire family, instead of what I want, instead of what my wife wants, instead of what each child wants. Men have failed to assume their roles as leaders and have abused their authority along the way. Men are the reason why our families have deteriorated and why women still believe that they can raise a family by themselves or with another women. LOL. If their were fathers in every home, do you think that we would have the crime rate that we have had since the womens liberation. Maybe Skitch can go look that one up in Google. LOL. It takes a man to raise a man and a women to raise a women. The homes needs both, with the man assuming & proud to lead selflessly and humbly. Humility is a word that is used in the Bible more the God & Jesus put together. Forgive me for not be humbled, but the truth will set you free.

At the end of the day, men are the stronger mental & physical vessels (generally). Men have a specific role within the family, which is headship. If you believe that your role as a women is less important because you are not the Boss, or because you aren't as pysically/mentally strong as men then you have some insecurity issues. What I do know that every role is important. As in 1 Corinthians, what is a head without eyes? What is a body without arms. Some people are so concerned with Titles that they lose sight of the goal. For a team, the Coach is the Boss, but the Teams doesn't win a championship without every person doing their role. Phil Jackson needs Kobe, Kobe need Andrew Bynum and everyone needs Dr. Jerry Buss and Dr. Jerry Buss needs Lakers Fans.

Maybe she get's it now...

Spoken like a scared little boy (sigh).  Yes, men have more muscle mass, but how does this make them better at leading a congregation?  How does this make them more equipped to run a household? Your arguments are shallow, and so you had to resort to name calling.  This is why I could never believe in your God.  My God would never want me to make someone feel smaller because they do not share my views. Women's Lib did not bring on the problems with the American family ~ capitalism did.  And crime has so many different causes that giving a juvenile and simplistic answer like "It's the fact that women work" is just pathetic.  Perhaps you should Google humility.  You certainly lack it.  So keep calling names.  Be sarcastic and cruel.  How very Christian of you.  We sure do need more leaders like you.
