Is God a figment of man's imagination?

Is it true that god is the fictional existence in the neurons of the brain; there is no credible evidence of a god existence external to the brain; and that god is envisioned in man's own image?

It's all about HIM!

Surely you aren't sincerely seeking an answer -- from a website!  The Bible records God as saying to mankind: "You shall find me when you seek me with all your heart."

If you want to know -- that 's your answer.  Really "seek" to know.  Or try this:  Put this to God -- to wake you up at a certain time w/o an alarm clock.  He will in a mysterious way.  Whenever I needed to wake up at a certain time, I would ask God to do so.  When I first became a believer, my cat came in at exactly the minute and started to meow -- and that was completely unlike her to do so.  God is amazing, and sees the sincerity of our hearts (whether we are or not).  I was an atheist, yet God proved himself to me to be the God of the Bible -- but I was sincerely seeking the truth.  Once I heard that Jesus Christ was the Saviour, I surrendered my life to Him and have followed him now for 39 years -- He has proved himself to me every day of my life from then until now.  He is completely true to his word, the Bible.  Ready for an adventure?

One, of course, begins the journey of "believing in God" by taking God on faith. But this is asking no more than asking a 5-year-old to believe in the existence and validity of those subjects one begins to learn in first grade. The child has to take their mere existence — and the teacher's competence — on faith.

After one has learned the rudiments of spelling, arithmetic, geography, vocabulary, etc., somewhere between the ages of 10-15, one begins to add personal experience to the a prioris first accepted by trust, and thus the emerging adult rounds out the reality of these subjects for themself.

The same is true with faith in God. As one ages, and (hopefully) has more and more direct experiences with issues resolved by "chance vs. heaven," only then does one begin to SEE (in a logical sense) the existence of God.

If you are someone who WANTS to believe that God is more than a "fictional existence," I recommend you get started on your own journey right away. Some of the best things in life really do take time to understand, or to appreciate.
