Glucose reading confusion

in the morning i take my norman blood glucose reading and sometimes, for example it would read 156. Then i would take my reading again, without eating or drinking anything and it would read 118. I first make sure my machine is calibrated using the calibrating glucose strip and then retry the test with a third drop and it would again read lower or the same. What is going on?

Hi,
If you take 2 reading, one straight after the other, and get 2 different readings (156 and 118) than something is wrong with your machine. In that case you'll have to repeat the reading using another devise. If there is a time gap (say 2 hours) that can explain all: e.g: You did some work / sport etc.... that lowered your sugar level in your blood. There can be some other reasons as well.
