How gluconeogenesis causes diabetes; what is the treatment? Does insulin has any role to play?
My FBS after night long fasting is higher than PP if PP is taken after !7:30 hrs.
I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.
This article discusses the fact that "insulin decreases the rate of glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis in the liver. In the absence of insulin, the opposite effects are produced." What I suggest you do, is discuss this with your doctor, and see if changes have to be made in the amounts and/or the type of medication (or insulin) you are now taking.
