Giving sweets to kids

Do you think giving chocolate to kids could be a form of abuse?

Would depriving kids of sweets be described as abuse or as keeping them healthy?

I don't agree with any of these claims. Eating a moderate amount of sweets isn't that bad. I think a kid who doesn't eat any sweets will feel he's missing something all the time.

Life is short. Eat dessert first.

I do not think giving chocolate in moderation to kids is a form of abuse. I also do not think depriving kids of sweets in general is abuse. In some cases, people could say it's keeping them healthy and in other cases, it's just not giving them a fair chance to decide what foods they like and dislike. There are numerous scientific studies run that prove that chocolate, like wine, can have positive effects on a person when used in moderation. So I think NOT teaching children how to moderate their food intake is child abuse.
