Girls dynamics

Every time I meet a girl she tells me "I don't have any female friends, I get along only with guys".what's the deal with that? how come I have friends that I see them like my brothers and girls hate each other?

RE: Girls dynamics

Unfortunately, society teaches women from a very young age that they must compete with each other for the attention of men. That makes it very hard to form true, lasting, supportive relationships - especially for those girls who take the "getting the attention of men is more important than anything else!" message to heart, the ones who are most sexualized. Unfortunately, they are also most likely to be dissatisfied with the attention of one man, and are often willing to leave a guy if they think they have a chance with a male of higher status in any sense of the word - or to cheat in general.

If you want a healthy relationship, I'd recommend holding out for a girl who has decent relationships with other females as well as having male friends.

RE: Girls dynamics

I agree with TechnoMom. It is true that society teaches girls to compete at a very young age for male attention. Some girls cannot handle it. Girls can be MEAN! Especially in their teenage years. I always found it easier in high school to be friends with guys than girls because of the constant competition and often times back stabbing. While I had a few close girlfriends when I was younger, it wasn't until College that I was able to develop very close relationships with girls. Have you seen the movie "Mean Girls?" I think that it deals with this subject very well. I also agree that there might be something wrong with a  girl who is past the age of 17 and still cannot have girlfriends. She is most likely not secure enough with herself yet to be in a healthy relationship with a man.
