Asked about “Get personal advice”

Getting past the first sentence

I have a problem when i come across people i don't talk to every day or who i haven't seen for awhile. Once they try to engage into a conversation with me by asking me questions, i'll answer, but i do not usually elaborate past a couple of words or a sentence.... i'd really like to over come this, and be as confident when im talking to my friends and family!

This problem sounds familiar. I think that the fact that you realize this about yourself is already an achievement.

You must try and make a point of engaging in such conversations even though it doesn't come naturally to you. I think the beginning of the conversation is the toughest part and I think once you overcome this initial obstacle you'll find yourself feeling much more comfortable.

Yes thanks!!! I do agree with you absolutely!  I think i just need to push myself to overcome my shyness and become more confident. I think the main reason for my shyness is that i am in a wheelchair, but that shouldnt be an excuse.... thanks for your support
