Getting ahead...

My fiance and I live basically paycheck to paycheck. Even after I send out my bills we barely have enough to get by. I feel as though I will never be able to save anything because we need every penny of it for our bills. How can I get ahead of the game without getting behind on our bills? BTW-I love the suggestion of not spending change. That is my slow start to saving!

The best way is to pay yourself first. Each week, even if it's just $10 or $20 , put that aside first. It will be tough sometimes, but if you get in the habit after a while you will have a nice little reserve fund saved up. Once you have this reserve you can use it for emergencies that arise, savings, or to get ahead on bills.
