Are Felco pruners a good quality product, if not, which are the best reasonably priced pruners for small ladies' hands? That are either sharpenable or replacement blades are available? Also which are the best reasonably priced loppers for at least 1 inch diameter stems? Thanks! Joyce

Joyce: You need to go to a Big Lots store. They have the most amazing inventory of quality gardening tools! Loppers, pruners, cultivators,etc.. not to mention all sorts of beautifull containers, gloves, even bulbs. Theyr'e inventory increases near the planting season too. They're awesome! if you want good brands and to save, go to Big Lots!

where there is fear there is no love but where there is love there is no fear

"Corona" hand shears, pruners, loppers etc.. are absolutely, positively, the only kind of garden/orchard/farm cutting tools you should consider purchasing.  I've used mine, heavily , for years.... and my Grandfather used them, before me, for decades !  With proper sharpening (they sell a specific tool for this separately) & care, they'll be the only ones you'll ever need to purchase.  Just don't try to "cut off more than the size you have can chew" and avoid dried, harder branches (use a saw).

I like the Felco Classic Manual Hand Pruner.  Ever since I got my first Felco pruner, I will not even consider buying any other brand. Not only do they work better than any other brand, they are simple to take apart and clean and replace worn parts.I don't have good hand strength and that is OK as you don't need it with this tool.
