Of course not!  But I ask you did you trigger this in him?  In my present situation my boyfriend and I had a serious fight where I hit him and scratched him. He reacted and slapped me.  This was due to his jealousy of something he found out through the mouth of one of my supposed to be best friends.  I dont defend him, but I am also responsible in recognizing that he too is made of flesh and blood and something can offend him as much as it offends me.
