First of all, I never heard of it being called a 'fairy loop'..wonder where that came from?
The purpose of this loop is so that a 'gentleman' could hang his shirt on a hook in the locker room, presumably after working out, playing a round of golf, etc...you know, that upper middle class bu****it!!!!!!!!
