Generic adapter vs. original adapter

I'm looking to purchase a replacement PA3467U-1ACA Adapter. I am considering purchasing a generic replacement adapter as opposed to purchasing an original Toshiba Adapter. If the voltage, amperage, and wattage of the generic is exactly the same as the original requirement, would it be fine to purchase the generic adapter over the original? Or would I just be wasting my time and money?

As long as they have the same output voltage , it doesn't matter what brand it is. And yes it is safe to use the generic one, only the difference is their service duration. Good brand may last for a long period of time.
