Why is Salvia legal and Marijuana illegal?

It's a matter of how damage was already done by this specific substance. As I seen it, it's a matter of time until the salvia wouldn't be legal too.

Why is Marijuana illegal?  

Marijuana was legal until the 1930s.  The FBI helped promulgate legislation to ban Marijuana because it was publicly associated with Mexican Immigrants and by making consumption illegal, it was a way to deport Mexicans who were found in possession. 

 That being said, the reason that Marijuana is illegal is primarily discrimnatory; rather than any legitimate concerns for the people's general welfare.  Therefore, the reason that marijuana is illegal is primarily historical. 

 Today, this rationale will not work.  However, based on personal experience with salvia and marijuana, the effects of the former do not last very long, while the latter endures for several hours. 

Um..  Salvia is not a party drug and you do not feel happy when on it but more of a "holy shit" experience which lasts for only minutes.  You can't hop behind the wheel of a car on salvia because once you have control of yourself and your life.. the effects are over.  The step into yourself and out of your environment is purely mental and a journey which has to be respected.  You earn the respect for the drug and find that the scary part of it is losing yourself only to gain back insight to your filth and makeup.

Anyways..  Salvia should not be illegal and the only reason why it will be is because of the dumbass' who have nothing better to do.  

 Weed is illegal because they can't tax it.  Pretty much everything that can't be taxed that is overly consumed or demanded is illegal right?  If they could tax your ass..prostitution would be legal.
