Genealogy Bloodline question

Even if you are a direct blood line from someone in your family tree , how many generations is it before you are no longer related by blood?

You are related whether it is 10, 100, or 1000 Generations. People have been genetically linked to remains thousands of years old. Kinship is forever!

Most States say at least 3rd to 4th generations to be eligible to marry. Depends on your State.

I get that , but thats not quite where I was comming from. Lets say your 6th great grand father and you are on a family tree chart. Thats 8 Generations back - are you still related by blood at that point?

Right now, DNA testing still show matches as far as 10 generations. My mothers side are doing these DNA test to show that they are indeed members of that family so I'm guessing to say that a bloodline will always remain.
