Gemma Arterton is going to be the next Bond girl, starring next to Daniel Craig in his second Bond.
She seems to have very little experience. Why was she chosen?
I think Gemma Arterton has a very modern and sexy look. While I do not think that she screams "beautiful", she definintely has sex appeal. She must have had a really great audition or good chemistry with Daniel Craig. It is essential that the two of them work well with one another and are believably attracted to one another.
She's British, which means no painful diction lessons, and she was probably cheaper than the big names, not to mention that it could be actually nice to see someone new.
As far as I know the Bond Girl is usually little known.
